Composite Out through TV Module

Composite Video output, poor resolution

VGA Out

After Composite wouldn’t work, I knew that I needed to get RGsB to the BMBT monitor. My first direction was to go through a HDMI->VGA converter. However, I later learned that many of these converters just work on a fixed set of input VGA resolutions, and that I needed a special resolution for the BMBT (more on that in a bit)

VGA_Zero

I bought a VGA_Zero from eBay and soldered up the 40pin connector. It was the first time I soldered up anything that small to a PCB. VGA Zero Soldering 1

Next, I used an an Altinex VGA->RGsB box Altinex 1

I mounted the Alintex Box to the test bench with some Vinyl Siding J-Trim. Altinex 3

VGA Video Timing

This was probably the hardest part of the whole project.

Quick-Switch Relays

I wired in a set of relays to allow swapping the video source mid-frame Quick Switch Relay
